CHARACTERS
ADAM (Male, Age 28-33) Lead
Adam is a patriot. Having served in the Middle East, he’s a man who has seen hell and survived. However, when he returns home, he discovers a much different war, but one that is by no means less deadly. His small Pennsylvania town has been gripped by the opioid epidemic and when tragedy strikes too close to home, he and a group of fellow vigilantes decide to take back their town in any way possible. We need a strong actor who can bring the passion of ADAM to life. This character knows right from wrong, but also gets pushed to the point where “wrong” is the only way to make things right again.

HAZEL (Female, Age 30-40) Lead
Hazel is a bereaved mother who lost two of her sons in 12 hours to opioid overdose. Her life was devastated and now she is on a crusade going from school to school to try and convince students not to touch the same poison that took her boys. Hazel is a retired nurse and has also seen first hand how prescriptions have escalated over the years. Hazel is a pacifist but is convinced that something must be done to stop the spread of drugs in her town even if the law must be bent.

OFFICER JERRY (Male, Age 40-55+) Supporting Lead
Jerry is the town sheriff. A man of high integrity, he wears his badge with pride. He is friendly and enjoys a good night out with friends, but he’s serious when it comes to the safety of his town and won’t let people think he can’t handle it. Unfortunately, the opioid epidemic has overwhelmed him. And even though at first he agrees with the citizens wanting to get involved with keeping the town safe from dealers, the vigilante antics they resort to forces JERRY to take a stand and ultimately costs him more than he expected. This role requires a very unique actor who can easily move from comedies to dramas with ease.

BETH (Female, Age 40+)
Beth is the mother of Adam. She chain smokes, sees the world in a dim light, and is bitter that the universe has given her nothing but heart ache and sorrow. She has had multiple husbands and even more boyfriends while she raised Adam and his older brother Jeremy, but today she just wants to stay home and watch daytime TV as her life inches on.

EDWARD (Male, Age 50+)
Edward is definitely not someone who will skirt around an issue. A brutally honest man, he’s livid about the state of his town and the constant loss of lives due to the opioid epidemic. He’s law abiding to a point, but also feels that if the law only gets them so far, he’s willing to help push further, legally or not.

BRITTANY (Female, Age 25-32)
Brittany is a trusted friend of Adam and his family. In fact, she is Adam's sitter for his son Phil. .While Adam left the town to fight foreign wars, Brittany has stayed in her hometown and watched the opioid epidemic only grow worse. Her Aunt Hazel, lost her sons, Brittany's cousins, and they both see the world in a very sober light.

REVEREND JOHN (Male, Age 40+)
Reverend John is a very dedicated man of the cloth. However, this epidemic that has taken control of his community has caused him great pain. He, too, suffers his own sorrows, but he’s dedicated to helping as much as he can and hopes that his message is enough to help those who have lost.
